What is Abdominal Therapy?
Abdominal Therapy has its roots in many cultures and healing traditions around the globe.
I travelled to Belize to study with Dr Rosita Arvigo, an inspirational woman who trained directly with Don Elijio Panti, a Maya Shaman and Miss Hortence Robinson, a traditional midwife.
This work is often called Maya massage and has its roots in this ancient culture. Now Abdominal Therapy is known worldwide and is used by midwives, physiotherapists, naturopaths and massage therapists to support client health and well-being.
Abdominal health is central to your well-being on all levels.
This simple and structured massage allows you to breathe more deeply and increases circulation in the belly and pelvis.
Circulation brings vitality to all your organs… optimising digestion, energising the nervous system, and endocrine systems, and supporting reproductive health.
Abdominal Therapy is holistic in its approach to health and well-being. Only by treating the whole person on a physical, emotional and energetic level can true healing take place.
Who may benefit from an Abdominal Therapy appointment?
Abdominal Therapy offers support for digestive and reproductive concerns and post-surgical abdominal scars and adhesions. You may find it surprising to learn that Abdominal Therapy can also bring relief from backaches and pains.
I work with people of all ages and genders; this technique is simply great for all Earthlings!
I offer Abdominal Therapy specifically to support people on their fertility journey from preconception through to post-partum care.
